Attached are some photos of this catastrophic wild fire that began on May 5, 2009 and was fully contained on May 20, 2009. A total of 160 structures were destroyed by the fire, as well as an additional 18 structures which were damaged. 1,857 personnel were dispatched and 30 firefighters were injured. The estimated cost of the fire was 17 million. The cause is still under investigation.
These photos show some of the devastation that this extremely hot fire caused. Several of the images are of Loomis polyethylene water tanks purchased and installed by Jeff Brown of JJ Brown Construction, that miraculously survived the fire. The fire literally burned directly through the location of where the tanks were standing. These poly tanks experienced zero damage. Jeff attributes the survival of the tanks to the fact that they were full of water when the fire passed through. AMAZING!
