If you have ever watched ABC’s Extreme Makeover Home Edition, this will sound familiar.

The PolyHouse blog described this year’s project as “28 students, 6 weeks of planning, 6 days of construction, $160,000 fund raising goal, a deserving family in the community all combined to produce a renovated home and a project management “learn-by-doing” experience.” The recipient of the renovation this year was the Todd family, whose son Caleb has achondroplasia dwarfism and hydrocephalus and has already had 10 brain surgeries in his young life. PolyHouse participants worked to raise money and remodel many parts of the house, including a bathroom that was custom built to accommodate Caleb’ needs. To read more about this amazing project, click here.

Loomis was able to participate in this community project by donating a new septic system for the family’s back yard. To see photos of the project results, please visit http://polyhouse.wordpress.com/photos/.
